It seems like there are endless options for AI tools to help you make your podcast workflow more efficient and to generally save you time. Or just take the tasks off your plate that you don’t really enjoy doing.
One of these tools is Capsho.com. Capsho markets itself as the best AI copywriting software for podcasters and the fastest way to market and grow your podcast.
But is it worth it?
We took 2 episodes of The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Podcasting for a road test on Capsho and here is our review of using the software and most importantly the quality of the content generated.
So, without further ado, let’s dive into this Capsho review and decide if it really is the best AI copywriting tool for podcasters and, possibly most importantly, if it’s worth its price tag.
What is Capsho?
Before we dive into reviewing Capsho.com, let’s first take a minute to explain what it is.
Capsho’s website doesn’t actually give you all that much detail about the company and people behind Capsho, but from a little digging online we managed to find out that Capsho was founded by Deirdre Tshien in 2022, making it a very recent addition to the podcast tool landscape.
But despite its newness, Capsho has a lot to offer podcasters in 2023 and beyond.
Depending on which plan you go for (more on this in a minute), Capsho can really go to town and produce you with tonnes of quality copy in under 15 minutes. Not bad for an AI tool, right?
Essentially, you give Capsho your podcast episode’s audio and it will give you:
- An episode title
- Show notes
- Show description
- Episode transcription
- Facebook / Instagram promotional, engagement & educational captions
- LinkedIn promotional, engagement & educational posts
- Twitter promotional, engagement & educational tweets
- TikTok promotional, engagement & educational captions
- Promotional & engagement emails
- Blog post
- LinkedIn article
- Quotes curated from the episode
- YouTube description
Think how much time you could save having all of that content generated for you.
Plus, if you struggle with social media copy, or are finding it hard to show up in multiple places, then Capsho provides you with a great solution to generating copy that is suited to multiple platforms.
Who is Capsho for?
Capsho brands itself as a platform that was created for ‘experts who podcast.’
By ‘experts who podcast,’ Capsho are referring to coaches, consultants, and service providers who are using podcasting to share their expertise, as well as being at a stage where they are ready to invest in using their podcast to grow their business with a digital content marketing strategy.
Basically, Capsho is not intended for those who simply want to generate a transcript. If this is you, consider looking at a transcription tool such as Descript.
Pricing
All of this sounds great, but for most podcasters, the number 1 question is how much is this going to cost? Especially bearing in mind that any subscription to Capsho will be in addition to any subscriptions you may already by paying for your podcast hosting platform or editing software.
Capsho currently offers 2 pricing plans: Podcaster and Entrepreneur.
Podcaster
The Podcaster plan is $29 per month for 4 episodes and offers:
- Episodes titles
- Show descriptions
- Show notes
- Transcription of your episode
If you pay for the year, the price is $290, effectively giving you 2 months for free.
Entrepreneur
The Entrepreneur plan is priced at $99 per month for 4 episodes and offers:
- Episode titles
- Episode descriptions
- Show notes
- Facebook / Instagram promotional, engagement & educational captions
- LinkedIn promotional, engagement & educational posts
- Twitter promotional, engagement & educational tweets
- TikTok promotional, engagement & educational captions
- Promotional & engagement emails
- Blog post
- LinkedIn article
- Quotes curated from the episode
- YouTube description
- Transcript
- Monthly Live Podcast Growth Masterclass with a leading podcast expert
If you opt for paying for the year, the price is $950, a saving of around 20% on paying monthly.
Before you start running for the hills at the thought of paying $99 per month for the Entrepreneur plan, do take a minute to contemplate how much you would spend on a VA doing all of this work for you, and also how much time you will save not generating this content yourself.
When you think of it in that respect, under $25 per episode, you’re definitely getting bang for your buck with Capsho.
How to generate content using Capsho
First off, if you’ve never used Capsho before, you will need to start off by creating an account. Capsho has a free 2-episode trial where you can try the tool for 2 podcast episodes before deciding if you want to invest.
Regardless of using the trial version, you’ll need to enter your payment details. Capsho state that this is to deter people from taking advantage of their free trial and that they won’t take any money from you until you actually opt into a paid-for plan.
Once signed up, you’ll be taken to the ‘My Shows’ dashboard. Click on ‘Create New Show’ to get started.
You’ll then see a screen to upload your recorded episode. Upload using one of the options provided on the screen.
If your recording includes your generic intro and outro, you can use the ‘Episode Clipper’ to ensure that the content transcribed is based only on your episode and not your intro and outro as well.
Enter your episode details, including any guests you recorded with. If you don’t have any folders set up then you will need to select to create a new folder from the drop-down menu.
Enter the information for your folder and click ‘Create folder.’
Select the tone of voice for your show. This feature I really like as it’ll ensure that the content generated fits the tone of your show.
Add in your social media and website links. Capsho will then automatically add these to the content that it generates for you.
The episode will take a couple of minutes to upload and process.
If the loading bar turns yellow, click on it and select the topic that is the primary focus of this episode. Capsho will detect several topics from your transcript and by selecting the main topic will help Capsho generate relevant content for you.
Once completed, you can go through to see the content that Capsho has generated for you. Use the icons on the left of the screen to navigate between the different pieces of content generated. Click on the template provided and from there you can edit, copy, paste, and use the content that Capsho has generated for you.
If you would like Capsho to generate a blog post based on your content, select the blog post icon in the left-hand menu. Capsho will ask you to choose the focus topic of your blog post. Simply select which topic you want Capsho to focus on and click ‘Confirm topic and generate.’ Capsho will take a few minutes to generate your blog post and you will receive an email when it is ready. When I tested, I received an email less than 10 minutes after clicking to generate the blog post telling me that my post was ready for viewing.
Was the content provided any good?
Ok, so, we’ve gone through the content generation side of things, but what we all want to know is whether or not the content that Capsho provides is any good.
Personally, I like the content that Capsho generated, and I’ll show you examples of what Capsho produced below. However, like an AI tool, I would highly recommend you ensure that you go through the content for accuracy and so that it sounds like you.
After all, your community will notice if you start putting out content that sounds like it hasn’t come from you.
Title and description
Capsho created two titles and descriptions; one short and one long-form. I like that it gave me the option of both long and short-form content that I could use depending on my preferences. You can see both below:

00:00:00
Hello there and welcome back to another episode of the Lacey Girls Guide to Podcasting. And in this episode, I am going to be talking to you about four main reasons why podcasting is a must for your coaching business. So if you are a coach of absolutely anything, do listen on. We all know that I love podcasting and I love having a podcast as part of my business marketing strategy. I’m a self invested introvert, but there’s something about podcasting that just really lights me up and it’s such an amazing top of funnel activity to raise awareness of my brand and business to new and current clients.
00:00:38
Podcasting has become a popular and effective way for many, many businesses to reach their target audience and grow their brands, particularly in recent years. And that’s why I wanted to spend just a few moments in this episode today talking about the top four reasons why podcasting is essential for business growth in 2023 and beyond and also provide you with tips on leveraging this powerful marketing tool to connect with your audience and achieve your business goals. So diving right in with top reason number one is building a loyal audience. Podcasting allows you to build a loyal audience that is interested in your brand and what you have to say. By consistently producing high quality content that resonates with your target audience, you can establish yourself as an authority in your industry and build trust with your listeners.
00:01:30
This can lead to increased brand awareness, customer loyalty and ultimately more sales for your business. Plus, with the ability to subscribe and receive automatic updates, your audience can easily stay up to date with your latest episodes and never miss an update from your business. To build a loyal audience through podcasting, it’s important to focus on creating content that is both informative and entertaining and this means understanding your target audience and what they are interested in, as well as staying up to date with industry trends and news. Consistency is also key. Aim to release new episodes on a regular schedule so that your audience knows when to expect new content.
00:02:11
Engage with your listeners by encouraging feedback and questions and consider featuring guests or experts in your field to provide additional value to your audience. And finally, consider using effective calls for actions in your outro to encourage your listeners to interact with you on Instagram or wherever else you hang out on social media. We know that by building a loyal audience through podcasting, you can establish your brand as a trusted authority and drive more business success onto point number two. Establish yourself as an expert in your Industry again, we know that podcasting is a great way to establish yourself as an expert in your industry. By consistently producing that high quality content that provides value to your listeners, you can position yourself as a thought leader and authority in your field.
00:03:03
And this can really help you build trust with your audience and attract new customers who are looking for guidance and expertise. By being recognized as an expert can lead to speaking opportunities, media coverage and other opportunities to grow your business. So if you want to establish yourself as a leader in your industry, podcasting really is a must. I’ve been really lucky with my podcast, with many guest collaborations and appearances as an expert speaker to groups being available to me as a result of my podcasts. One of the best ways to establish yourself as an expert in your industry through podcasting is to focus on providing valuable insights and information that your listeners can’t find anywhere else.
00:03:47
This means doing your research, staying up to date on the latest trends and developments in your field, and sharing your own unique perspective and expertise. Top reason number Three increase Brand Awareness and Visibility we’ve already mentioned how powerful podcasting is for increasing brand awareness and visibility and to build a loyal following. As your audience grows for your podcast, so does your reach and your influence. And this can lead to increased brand recognition and visibility, which can help you attract new customers and grow your business overall. Additionally, podcasting can help you reach new audiences that may not have been exposed to your brand before, helping you expand your reach and grow your business even further.
00:04:37
Because you’re constantly growing your audience through your podcast, it’s important to regularly mention your different offers and services. Why? Because not everyone will go back to episode one and listen to all of your episodes chronologically when they first discover your podcast. So if you mention an offer in episode three and never again, a listener who joins at episode 20 won’t necessarily know about that offer. So when creating your episodes, be sure to sprinkle information about your offers and services throughout your episodes and series.
00:05:07
And top reason number Four reach a Wider Audience as we’ve already mentioned, one of the biggest ways as we’ve already mentioned, one of the biggest benefits of podcasting is the ability to reach a wider audience. Unlike traditional marketing methods, podcasts can be accessed by anyone with an internet connection, regardless of their location. And even if they don’t have an internet connection, they can download the episodes to listen to later. This means that you can reach potential customers worldwide and not just in your local area, and depending on your setup, this could all be done for free. Additionally, podcasts can be shared on social media and other platforms, allowing your speakers to spread the word about your brand and help you reach even more people.
00:05:50
By reaching a wider audience, you can increase your brand awareness and attract new customers to your business. A handy way of getting shares on social media for free is simply by asking your listeners to share their favorite episode with a friend or taking a picture of them listening to your latest episode and sharing it to their Instagram stories and tagging you in. Now, if all of this is sounding absolutely brilliant to you, but you are not sure where to start, then I’m going to paint a picture for you. If you are imagining that you are booking new clients who tell you that they were inspired to work with you after listening to your latest podcast episode and inquiring about your offers if you are imagining that you can take a holiday knowing that you have a catalog of long form content that potential clients can binge out on and get to know you with. If you’re imagining you can launch your own podcast and have the opportunity to celebrate it hitting the charts again.
00:06:44
And if you are imagining that you have people telling you that your latest episode has helped them with something that has happened in their life or business, then I would love to chat to you. I’ve got a range of services to get your podcast up and going with as little stress as possible. We have the Confident Podcaster, which is a self paced online course that takes you from concept to published podcast using a time frame which suits you and your needs. I also have got VIP launch day services, which means that we can get everything set up within one day and you can have contact with me afterwards, so that your podcast is set up as quickly as possible, as efficiently as possible, but making sure that everything is set up correctly to get you started on the road to success. Do get in touch with me to discuss which option is best for you and get started on your podcasting journey today.
00:07:40
You can contact me on Instagram, at Veritysongon, on Twitter at veritysongon, or you can email me verity@veritysongon.com. Even if you’re not sure where you want to start, you can just reach out and just start asking questions, start telling me your ideas. I would love to chat more to you and otherwise I will see you in the next episode.
Social media captions
Each of the social media caption sections gives you 3 options of captions for each of the following categories: promotional, engagement, and educational.
Essentially, this means that you get 9 social media captions generated per platform; 3 promotional, 3 engagement, and 3 educational.
Personally, I think this feature gives Capsho its edge over competitors. I haven’t yet seen social media caption generation work in a way that delivers content that is promotional, engagement-focused, and educational. In my experience, captions tend to just be summaries of the transcript or podcast episode. And you can easily copy and paste these captions into a social media content scheduler to ensure that you’re consistently showing up with content for your audience across a multitude of platforms.
Below are examples of captions generated for each platform:
I’m someone who struggles with email copy A LOT. It just isn’t my favourite thing to write. So, having email content created for me is an amazing starting point for sending round an email blast about a latest podcast episode:
Hi Name,
I still remember the day when my world of marketing was turned upside down. Stumbling upon podcasting felt like uncovering a secret weapon, one that would change the way I connected with my audience. I had always been a self-invested introvert, preferring the written word over public speaking. Yet, the moment I discovered podcasting, my passion for sharing my knowledge and expertise soared to new heights. The process of creating, recording, and sharing episodes became an exhilarating experience. I started noticing the impact on my brand as the audience grew, and my passion for podcasting became stronger. My confidence also grew as I started receiving messages from listeners who were inspired by my episodes, sharing how I had helped them in their lives and businesses. The power of podcasting to increase brand awareness and reach a wider audience was now undeniable, and I knew it was time for me to help others on their podcasting journey.
1. Cultivate a devoted following by delivering valuable and engaging content. 2. Position yourself as an industry trailblazer and authority figure. 3. Boost your brand visibility through compelling podcast conversations. 4. Expand your reach and connect with audiences by utilizing social media sharing. 5. Harness the power of listener relationships for sustainable business growth.
Just when I thought I had it all figured out, a single podcast episode turned my world upside down. The unexpected twist in my career journey left me breathless, but ultimately led me to discover the power of podcasting. Listen in as I share my story and the surprising impact it had on my brand. Will you be inspired to take your own podcasting journey? Find out now.

Normally, I write my blog posts first and then record them as podcast episodes. However, what I liked about the blog post created by Capsho is that it was different enough from my original blog post, that I could feasibly post this using a different title (like one of the ones generated by Capsho) – think of all the extra SEO opportunities!

The beauty of podcasting lies in its ability to provide valuable content while also allowing you to network with industry experts and tap into new client pools. Follow these nine actionable steps to create and promote a podcast that elevates your brand, ensures you become the authority in your coaching niche, and opens up a world of professional and personal opportunities.
Here are the steps to get Increase brand awareness and establish expertise through podcasting.:
1. Identify your niche and target audience
2. Develop high-quality, engaging content
3. Consistently publish and promote episodes
1. Identify your niche and target audience
Positioning yourself as an expert in your industry through podcasting starts by identifying your niche and target audience. This initial step is crucial because it lays the foundation for the type of content you will create, ensuring that it resonates with your audience and demonstrates your expertise in the specific subject matter. Identifying your niche not only helps you develop tailored content but also enables you to determine your unique selling proposition (USP) effectively, differentiating you from others in the industry. By understanding who your ideal listeners are and catering content towards their interests and pain points, you can create a loyal and engaged audience that trusts your expertise and recommendations. As a result, you can grow your coaching business by attracting clients who share your values and trust your guidance. In the Lazy Girl’s Guide to Podcasting episode, Verity Sangan discusses the benefits of incorporating podcasting into a coaching business’s marketing strategy. She emphasizes how creating informative and entertaining content, knowing your target audience, staying current with industry news, and featuring industry experts can be beneficial in building audience loyalty and trust. For example, Verity highlights the importance of providing valuable insights and information that your target audience wouldn’t find elsewhere. By doing so, she has positioned herself as an authority in the podcasting market while also creating a community of listeners interested in her content. This approach has led her to opportunities such as speaking gigs, media coverage, and business growth, all stemming from her commitment to understanding her audience and creating content that resonates with them. The importance of identifying your niche and target audience when it comes to positioning yourself as an expert in your industry through podcasting cannot be overstated. By understanding who you want to reach and what information they are looking for, you can provide the value and insights that cannot be found elsewhere. This not only builds trust with your audience but also positions you as a leading expert in your field. As your credibility grows, so too does your brand awareness and influence, making it much easier to attract and retain new clients. Moreover, podcasts offer a unique way to connect with your audience on a deeper level, as they often listen in their free time and feel more connected to you as the host. In turn, this fosters a stronger brand-community relationship, ensuring that your coaching business thrives in the competitive market. Remember, understanding the audience you want to cater to and consistently delivering valuable content is the key to establishing your expertise and achieving success in your coaching business through podcasting.
2. Develop high-quality, engaging content
Developing high-quality, engaging content is essential for positioning yourself as an expert in your industry through podcasting. By creating content that resonates with your target audience and provides value to them, you can cultivate a reputation as a thought leader and a reliable source of information. To create captivating content, it is crucial to focus on delivering insights and information that distinguishes your podcast from others in your niche. This can be achieved by applying your expertise, research skills, and unique perspective to generate fresh, unparalleled viewpoints. It is also vital to ensure that your podcast is both informative and entertaining, as listeners typically consume content that not only educates them but also keeps them engaged and interested in subsequent episodes. In the conversation with Verity Sangan, she highlights the importance of generating high-quality content to establish expertise in a specific industry. By reflecting on her own experience in podcasting, Verity successfully illustrates the power of exceptional content in building a loyal audience and increasing brand awareness for coaching businesses. She emphasizes the need for practical guidance, industry updates, and expert contributions from guests or professionals in your niche to ensure you are meeting the needs of your audience. Verity recommends that businesses utilize podcasting as a top-of-funnel activity to attract and maintain customer attention, leading to further business growth opportunities. This key step of developing high-quality and engaging content is crucial for coaches who want to increase their brand awareness and establish themselves as experts through podcasting because it helps to build trust, credibility, and rapport with their audience. As listeners are more inclined to trust and invest in a brand they perceive as knowledgeable and helpful, creating content that demonstrates expertise in your field can lead to numerous benefits, such as speaking opportunities, media coverage, and increased customer loyalty. Furthermore, focusing on the creation of engaging content can help you stand out in a crowded marketplace, making your podcast a prime destination for listeners within your target audience. By concentrating on content quality and audience engagement, you can significantly enhance the impact of your podcast and consequently increase brand awareness and establish your expertise in your industry.
3. Consistently publish and promote episodes
Establishing oneself as an expert in one’s industry through podcasting is a strategic way of increasing brand awareness and driving growth for coaching businesses. A crucial step in achieving this is to consistently publish and promote podcast episodes. In this digital age, where numerous online resources vie for attention, having a regular schedule and producing high-quality content is essential in maintaining a loyal audience following. Moreover, constant episode promotion dovetails with the ultimate goal of podcasting: reaching wider audiences, showcasing expertise, and strengthening relationships with the target audience. In the Lazy Girl’s Guide to Podcasting, host Verity Sangan discusses the importance of consistently publishing and promoting podcast episodes for business growth. Sangan notes that having a dedicated schedule for releasing episodes and regularly reminding audiences about what’s on offer will keep them engaged and hooked on the content. She suggests using various social media platforms to share episodes, expand reach, and gain visibility. By nurturing a consistent online presence through podcasting, coaches can gradually build trust and understand their target audience better, leading to increased brand loyalty and customer retention. The significance of this key step for coaching businesses is twofold. First, it helps position the coach as an authority in their respective field. Consistently providing valuable insights and up-to-date industry information sets them apart from the competition by demonstrating their knowledge and expertise. This, in turn, can lead to additional opportunities, such as speaking engagements and media coverage, to further propel the brand’s growth. Second, prioritizing consistency in podcasting strengthens relationships with listeners, giving them a reason to stay connected and continue consuming the content. As listeners develop trust and rapport with the coach, they are more likely to engage in business opportunities they offer, ultimately leading to increased clientele and long-term growth. Thus, incorporating consistent content publishing and promotion of podcast episodes into a marketing strategy proves indispensable in establishing oneself as an industry expert and making a lasting impact on the target audience.
When it comes to increasing brand awareness for coaches, becoming an expert in your field through podcasting is a powerful method for capturing your target audience’s attention. It all starts with finding your niche and understanding your audience, then providing high-quality, engaging content that resonates with them. Collaborating with industry experts, offering unique insights, and staying abreast of the latest trends demonstrates your willingness to provide the best possible information to your listeners. Utilizing social media platforms for exposure and engaging with your audience helps to strengthen relationships and broaden your reach. So, embrace these strategies and start making your mark as an industry expert today!

LinkedIn article
LinkedIn is a popular place to cultivate listeners, but again, coming up with more content that isn’t just copied and pasted from your show notes can be draining at times. Capsho review: Is Capsho worth it?
Overall, whilst I was highly impressed with the output of Capsho, for me, based only on the fact that I have 2 podcasts producing multiple episodes per week, the price is quite high.
Yes, $29 per 4 episodes a month works out as about $7.25 per episode. And yes this is a HELL of a lot less than you would pay a VA or yourself to generate all of this work. And if I only had 1 podcast outputting 1 episode per week then I’d be very happy with this price point.
However, as someone with 2 podcasts and multiple episodes being published per week, then I’d be looking at a bespoke plan. And seeing as the highest plan is $99 per month, I’d likely be looking at a lot more than that.
Therefore, $950+ per year just doesn’t make this service cost-effective for me at this point in time.
However, I do really like Capsho and what it offers podcasters. And as I said, if I just had 1 podcast with a weekly episode, then I think you’re getting a hell of a lot for either $29 or $99 per month, especially when you consider the time and effort you’ll be saving
