Soul Growth

How long have you been podcasting for?

2 years (and there was maybe a 1-year stint on a different podcast I had circa 2018).

What is your podcast about?

It’s about soul growth! The journey we go on to create the ‘more’ that we feel called to – the life that we dream of.

It’s about empowering the listener and supporting them in breaking the cycles keeping them stuck and unfulfilled, healing and creating inner success.

Why did you start your podcast?

I started my podcast as a way to share my work with more people and to share my life experiences and the things I’ve learned (and continue to learn).

The journey of soul growth and going after what you truly desire in life can feel and be lonely and at times confusing and frustrating. I want my listeners to feel seen, heard and supported, to know that they are not alone, to help them navigate the lows, celebrate the highs and ultimately to continue on the journey and fulfil their soul’s calling.

How has your podcast affected your business/hobby/life?

I’d say it’s really helped me to grow as a person and it’s been very healing.

Sometimes it’s triggered me however, I am able to discern this and do the work to grow through it which is ultimately what this work is all about! It’s funny because even though my podcast is called ‘Soul Growth,’ I hadn’t anticipated the level of soul growth it would give me!

What’s your favourite podcast tool and why?

I love Buzzsprout.

It’s like a one-stop shop for most of my podcasting needs. I once said in their support group that the only thing missing for me was the ability to record on their platform because a couple of years ago, there weren’t many options if you weren’t super techy like me.

That side of things has come a long way since and I’ve recently signed up to Descript and like what I’m experiencing so far.

What’s your number 1 tip for new podcasters?

Be in it for the long haul.

We live in a world that is so focussed on instant gratification and so we often expect success to come ‘just like that’ and when it doesn’t happen as fast or big as you thought/expected it to, that’s when most people give up. Don’t be that person!

Keep on going even when you feel like ‘no one’ is listening. Work on your mindset, do the inner game work and learn to rest, not quit.
